In this paper, we apply petrographic, stable isotope and fluid inclusion techniques to quartz–carbonate–sulphide veins cutting Dalradian metamorphic rocks of the SW Scottish Highlands to identify the compositions, sources and infiltration mechanisms of mineralising vein fluids, and to characterise the interactions between fluids and host rocks.
